Earlier this month, we sent an e-newsletter out to our supporters with updates on our recent research meeting in Cleveland. As I reported in the newsletter, those who attended the meeting in Cleveland were struck by the tremendous commitment of the scientists and their enthusiasm for rapidly moving their discoveries through the drug pipeline and into clinical trials. I always feel honored to attend these sessions. To me, they are like history in the making. And to me they are further proof that our new model for medical research is in fact effectively accelerating the rate of drug discovery and the delivery of treatments to patients. But the best news perhaps is that we now believe that we will be able to license at least one myelin repair drug target by the end of 2008--one full year ahead of our already aggressive schedule.
Our newsletter prompted many replies from supporters all over the world—many with touching stories of their own struggles with MS and how invested they and their families are in our success. I am grateful for and encouraged by the personal connections that so many have made. They remind those of us here in Saratoga, as well as our scientists and their lab staff members across North America, why we are working so hard to conquer the symptoms of MS and prove our Accelerated Research Collaboration™ model for all who suffer from disease.
If you are not already receiving our e-news updates, I invite you to subscribe by registering here. We do not share our lists with others and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Thank you for your continued interest in MRF.
Sincerely,
Scott Johnson
